Engineered for High Power and Deep Bass Performance
With the recommended power range of 300 to 750 Watts RMS, the HELIX IQ W12-DVC2 offers a wide range of applications and is particularly optimized for high-power amplifier configurations, ensuring consistently precise bass reproduction – even at extreme levels. Its 3-layer Fiberglass-Mylar honeycomb cone provides maximum rigidity and optimal internal damping, effectively minimizing distortion while ensuring tight, controlled, and dynamic low-frequency performance. Exceptional transient response ensures that even complex bass passages are reproduced clearly and with absolute precision.
A highly efficient cooling system, featuring a large-diameter vented pole piece and an airflow-optimized basket design, enables continuous air circulation, preventing overheating and thermal compression. This ensures consistent performance, even under prolonged high-output operation, allowing the subwoofer to maintain full power and control at all times.
Proprietary Tuneable Mass System (TMS) – Fine-Tuning for Your Sound
The Tuneable Mass System (TMS) introduces an innovative approach to bass adjustment, offering a unique way to customize the acoustic characteristics of the subwoofer. By adding or removing specific weights within the dustcap, the moving mass of the driver can be modified, directly influencing the subwoofer’s response and efficiency.
Depending on the chosen configuration, the subwoofer’s sonic profile changes significantly. Without additional weight, the subwoofer maintains a higher resonant frequency, ensuring maximum efficiency and fast transient response – ideal for high-output setups and tight, punchy bass reproduction. Adding mass lowers the resonant frequency, allowing for deeper and more authoritative bass, making it particularly well-suited for sealed enclosures or low-tuned bass reflex systems.
This fine-tuning capability enables precise adaptation to enclosure volume and in-car acoustics. A higher moving mass extends low-frequency performance, whereas a lower moving mass improves efficiency, making the subwoofer suitable for operation with moderate amplifier power. This unparalleled flexibility makes the HELIX IQ W10-DVC2 the ideal choice for those seeking ultimate sound precision and adaptability.
Flexible Connection for Seamless System Integration
Equipped with a 2 × 2 Ohms dual voice coil, the HELIX IQ W12-DVC2 offers maximum compatibility with various amplifier setups. Depending on the wiring configuration, it can be operated, aside from the typical 2 x 2 Ohms configuration, at either 1 Ohm or 4 Ohms, making it the perfect match for high-power monoblock amplifiers as well as multi-subwoofer configurations. This ensures seamless integration into both existing and newly designed sound systems.
Beyond its electrical adaptability, the subwoofer is designed for versatile enclosure compatibility. In sealed enclosures, it delivers tight, controlled bass with outstanding transient response, while in bass reflex systems, it provides exceptional low-frequency extension and immense output capability. This adaptability makes the HELIX IQ W12-DVC2 the ideal choice for a wide range of system applications.
Sophisticated and Robust Construction for Long-Lasting Performance
Delivering powerful low-frequency performance requires an exceptionally rigid and durable construction. The HELIX IQ W12-DVC2 features a meticulously engineered diecast aluminum basket, ensuring maximum stability while eliminating unwanted resonance. This guarantees consistent and precise bass reproduction, even during extreme cone excursion.
Additionally, the subwoofer is equipped with a protective grille that is directly integrated into the basket. This secure mounting not only provides optimal protection for the cone but also allows for seamless integration into the vehicle’s interior. This ensures a safe and stylish installation, which can be particularly advantageous in tight installation spaces or vehicles with limited mounting options, contributing to long-term reliable performance. Thanks to its sturdy construction, the HELIX IQ W12-DVC2 remains highly durable even under heavy loads, delivering pure and consistent sound quality for years to come.
